Members introduced themselves and were welcomed.
Reports of College councils feedback: Discussion of individual college web sites to determine if health information (Student Health, Insurance, Sexual Health, Psych Services, etc.) is readily available. Some info was available, but none were consistent. Further review is needed.
Continuing discussion of “sick kits” that could be given to students. Pat Grillo showed members the actual “wellness kits” that were used for incoming students in Fall 07. Discussion of what to include in a possible “sick kit”. Some of the items included fever indicator, sample of Tylenol/acetaminophen, sample of Airborne, herbal tea, throat lozenges, information brochures, etc.
The discussion also included cost of items, and how to distribute the kits.
Next meeting will be February 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Student Health Conference Room #225.
