Subcommittee Report:
Where 10+ most common over the counter drugs can be found on campus after hours or on weekends -Written reports were submitted by Jessica and Gabby on M.O.M, Plaza on the Side, and Earls Place. The others reported that there was not much at the other places to report, or it was not stocked regularly. It was decided that MOM, Earls Place and Sunshine Store offered the most consistent items, as well as hours that included evenings and weekends. It was also noted that the local Savon is open 24 hours.

Health Ed Update - Suggested Educational Programs/Outreaches -Debbie reported that next year there will be SHA officers that work with RAs at each college, with transfer and commuter students, Greeks and student Orgs., to improve outreach and education to these students. Health Education is also planning to do at least one, and perhaps a series of health workshops for the new Freshmen during Welcome Week.

Debbie also let the group know that SHS will have a site visit for their AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care) renewal on April 13th and 14th. UCSD SHS has been accredited since 1995 when we were one of just two of the 9 UCs accredited. Now all but 2 are accredited. Full accreditation is good for three years. There is a possibility that the reviewer may want to speak with SHAC Chair. Mark will give Debbie some times he is available on those days.

SHS Website demonstration and new on-line services -How to get the word out / Soliciting feedback -The new appointments on-line service was demonstrated. Students gave some good feedback that will be passed on to Bill (our programmer). Debbie also asked the group what would bring someone to the SHS web-site, what would they hope to find or accomplish on the site? After brainstorming a list, the group went through the site and looked for the items identified. Again feedback was collected, some of which will be passed on to Bill. A form was passed out for students to use in gathering similar information from other students (suite-mates, college council members, etc.) Students can drop completed forms off to Debbie (534-2419) or bring to the next meeting.

Day/Time/Place of Next Meeting After an attempt to find a time next quarter that will work for everyone, Mark asked the group to instead each send a copy of their schedules (to Debbie or Mark), and we will work on coming up with a day/time.
