Student Health Services has received a limited supply of H1N1 vaccine which will be available for students for a $10 administration fee.

Monday, November 23rd from 9-11am and 1-3:30 through Nurses Clinic for high-risk conditions only, which include:

  • Pregnant students
  • Caregivers of children less than 6 months of age
  • Students with severe asthma, diabetes, chronic kidney, heart, lung, liver, neurologic disorders, immune suppressed disorders or conditions
  • Healthcare workers
Tuesday, November 24th beginning at 9am-2pm (as long as supply is available) in the Conference Room of Student Health - 2nd floor, Room 225.
  • Available to all the above groups AND any students under 24 years of age


Seasonal Influenza

Note: Nov 18: We just received 300 doses of seasonal flu vaccine (our final supply)- visit Nurses Clinic to get your vaccine. Use this link to find a location near you: www.findaflushot.com.

These vaccines are recommended for all students at high risk for complications of influenza, and are effective against seasonal flu only, not H1N1. Those at high risk include anyone over 50 years of age, people with chronic lung disease (including moderate to severe asthma) heart, kidney, liver, or serious blood disorders, those who are immunosuppressed, pregnant women, and people who live with or care for infants less than 6 months of age or others at high risk.

H1N1 Flu

The H1N1 vaccine may also be available at some Public Health clinics. See this link for more info: http://studenthealth.ucsd.edu/flu.shtml

It is recommended for all people ages 6 months to 24 years, all people of any age at high risk for complications of influenza (see above), pregnant women, caregivers for infants under 6 months of age, and healthcare/emergency services personnel.

Immunizations at Student Health Service

No appointment is needed for immunizations. Check in at the Student Health reception desk for Nurses Clinic during the following times:
  • 8-11am & 1-3:30pm Mon, Wed, and Fri
  • 9-11am & 1-3:30pm Tues and Thurs
