Appointments
Emergencies: If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, dial 9-1-1. If it is after hours and you would like to speak with a nurse, dial the main number (858) 534-3300 and select the option for the "Advice Nurse." If you or a friend are a victim of rape or sexual assault or are experiencing personal safety concerns, contact CARE at SARC, the campus advocacy and education office for sexual violence and gender-based violence (dating violence, domestic violence, stalking).
Scheduling
You can schedule appointments by calling the main scheduling line (858) 534-3300 or by calling the provider's group directly. Many student health appointments can also be self-scheduled online in MyStudentChart: Log in to MyStudentChart > Click on Menu > Schedule an Appointment > Choose the type of visit you wish to schedule.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Our policy allows us to accommodate a late arrival if you check-in within 5 minutes of your scheduled appointment time.
If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please cancel with at least 4 hours’ notice to avoid a $20 no-show fee.
For each appointment, please anticipate being in the clinic for at least 1 hour to allow for check in, the visit with the provider, completion of any labs, x-rays, or additional testing, and obtaining pharmacy items if needed.

Tips and Tricks for Students Coming to SHS
Prior to Your Appointment
Please complete your eCheck-In through MyStudentChart and sign all forms and fill out all assigned questionnaires. Download the MyChart app on your phone to make this process, as well as scheduling and messaging your provider much easier.
NOTE: You are not “arrived” at your appointment until you enter your PID number on the tablets at SHS or check in with the group receptionist in person. The eCheck-In is for preliminary questions only.
