Nurses' Clinic
The Student Health Services Nurses’ Clinic supports student well-being with quick, convenient, and compassionate care, from vaccines to tuberculosis testing, guidance on filing out health requirement forms, medication administration, and more.
Scheduling
All Nurses’ Clinic services are by appointment only. Some appointments can be self-scheduled online (see table below) using MyStudentChart: Login > Menu > Schedule an Appointment > Choose “Nursing Immunization/TB/Forms Visit” or “SHS: Influenza/Tdap/HPV/COVID-19 Vaccines”.

Services Available by Self-Scheduled Appointment

Form Completion |
Includes forms for away rotations, program acceptance, volunteering, and jobs. Travel-related forms will need a travel visit. |
Immunization Review |
For students who are uncertain which vaccines they need, an RN can provide a review and discuss recommendations. |
Tuberculosis (TB) Screening & Testing

The type of testing is determined by the result of the risk assessment screening, personal history, and preference. Students with UC SHIP/RAFT can self-schedule QuantiFERON testing through the SHS lab. |
Titer (Immunity) Testing |
Titers can be ordered by an RN or self-scheduled through the SHS lab. There is no charge for students with UC SHIP/RAFT. |
Vaccinations |
All required and standard vaccines can be self-scheduled except travel vaccines (Japanese Encephalitis, typhoid, rabies, and yellow fever) which require a travel visit. Please see Immunizations for more information. |

Pregnancy Options Counseling |
For a positive pregnancy test, specially trained RNs can support patient decision-making and provide referrals to other levels of care as needed. |
RN Travel Health/Prep Visits |
Travel Health RNs can assist with preparation for international travel for both university programs and personal trips. |
Vital Signs* |
This appointment may be ordered by providers as a form of ongoing monitoring. |

Pricing
There is no charge for Nurses’ Clinic visits, vaccines, and services for students covered by UC SHIP. RAFT students pay no fee for the visit but will pay out of pocket for the cost of vaccines & TB testing. Students without UC SHIP/RAFT will pay Fee for Service for the visit and any associated costs. Students seeking insurance reimbursement should always confirm with their provider whether reimbursement is available before being seen in clinic.
Hours
The Nurses' Clinic is open during regular clinic hours, including extended hours on Mondays until 6pm during the academic year, and closed on weekends and university holidays.
Online Support via MyStudentChart
For health-related questions, please login to MyStudentChart and choose Menu > Student Health Ask-A-Nurse to send a secure message directly to our nursing team. An RN will respond or forward the query to the appropriate department within 1- 2 business days, Monday to Friday, 8–4:30pm (see below for after-hours support).
