Radiology (X-Ray)

Services

SHS Radiology (X-ray) is open during regular clinic hours and closed on university holidays.

Our Radiology Department performs skeletal and chest x-rays to assist our clinicians in diagnosing conditions such as pneumonia, fractures, dislocations, etc.

Radiographers are medical personnel who perform diagnostic imaging examinations and are trained in anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, as well as radiation safety and patient protection.

Our radiology department is inspected by the State of California and is accredited by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

Request for X-Ray Copies

Copies of X-Ray images can be requested from the UC San Diego film library using the Authorization for Release form. The form can be emailed or faxed to the film library.

Images will be sent via email or by standard mail. There is no charge for 1 copy. If more than one copy is needed there will be a $25 fee.

No appointment is needed to access the Radiology Department.
