Radiology (X-Ray)
Services
SHS Radiology (X-ray) is open during regular clinic hours and closed on university holidays.
Our Radiology Department performs skeletal and chest x-rays to assist our clinicians in diagnosing conditions such as pneumonia, fractures, dislocations, etc.
Radiographers are medical personnel who perform diagnostic imaging examinations and are trained in anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, as well as radiation safety and patient protection.
Our radiology department is inspected by the State of California and is accredited by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

Request for X-Ray Copies
All imaging results and images are released to the student’s MyStudentChart account automatically, within 4-7 days after the result is available.
Requests for images can also be submitted online through the MyStudentChart portal.
- Log in to MyStudentChart > Menu
- Click on Medical Records > Medical Records Request > Requested Records
- Click "here" for additional records
- Scroll down until you see UCSD Radiology and choose this option to submit your request
- Choose how you would like your images sent to you: "Delivery by Email" or "Delivery by Mail"
- Your records will be sent to your MyStudentChart within 3-5 business days.
There is no charge for one copy. If more than one copy is needed there will be a $25 fee.
No appointment is needed to access the Radiology Department.
