UC Smoke-free Policy
UC San Diego, along with all the UC campuses, became a Tobacco and Smoke-free campus in January 2014. This means that smoking, use the use of smokeless tobacco products, the use of unregulated nicotine products and the use of electronic smoking devices (which includes e-cigarettes) is strictly prohibited on all University controlled properties. Smoking Cessation Counseling
If you are a student and a smoker who would like to quit, Student Health Services can help. You can make an appointment for individual counseling with a Health Educator at Student Health Services by calling (858) 822-5926. Smoking cessation appointments and cessation aids are free.

Last year 24 volunteers collected 7,568 cigarette butts!
